Cosmex Cancellation Policy
At Cosmex, we are committed to providing the highest level of care and service to our clients. To ensure efficient scheduling and fairness to all, we have established the following cancellation policy, in accordance with AHPRA guidelines for plastic and cosmetic surgery:

-
Consultation Appointments
-
A $290 consultation fee applies, which includes a non-refundable deposit of $100.
-
If the consultation is cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice, the $100 deposit can be transferred to a future consultation.
-
If cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, the $100 deposit will be forfeited.
-
Clients who fail to attend their scheduled consultation without prior notice will forfeit the $100 deposit and may be required to pay the full consultation fee for future bookings.
-
-
Surgery Booking Deposit
-
A deposit of $500 to $1000 is required to secure a surgery date. This deposit is non-refundable but can be held on file for up to 2 years and applied toward future treatment at Cosmex.
-
Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the scheduled surgery will receive a full refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable $500 to $1000 deposit.
-
For cancellations made within 2 weeks of the surgery date, a partial refund may be provided, less the non-refundable deposit and any applicable fees based on preparation costs and specific circumstances.
-
Please note, as per AHPRA guidelines, a cooling-off period may apply to certain surgeries, and clients are entitled to change their minds about elective cosmetic procedures within the specified period.
-
-
No-Show Policy
-
Clients who fail to attend their scheduled appointments without prior notice will be considered a "no-show." A fee may be applied based on the type of appointment, which will be communicated to the client for future appointments.
-
Repeated "no-show" incidents may result in a requirement to pay a full non-refundable fee in advance for subsequent bookings.
-
-
Rescheduling
-
Clients wishing to reschedule appointments must contact the clinic at least 48 hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred new date and time.
-
For surgery rescheduling, a minimum of 2 weeks' notice is required. Any rescheduled surgery must also comply with AHPRA regulations, including reassessment of medical suitability and the continuation of the cooling-off period where applicable.
-
-
Medical Necessity or Clinic-Initiated Cancellations
-
In the event that Cosmex needs to cancel or reschedule a surgery or appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the unavailability of the surgeon or medical reasons, clients will receive a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit, or the opportunity to reschedule without penalty.
-
If surgery is cancelled for medically necessary reasons, including those identified during the pre-surgery assessment, the non-refundable deposit will be refunded in full in compliance with AHPRA standards for client care and safety.
-
-
Your Responsibilities
-
Clients are responsible for managing their own appointments and providing sufficient notice for any changes.
-
In line with AHPRA regulations, all clients must undergo a thorough medical assessment prior to any cosmetic surgery, and any decision to cancel or reschedule surgery for medical reasons must be respected.
-
If you have any concerns regarding your surgery or payments, we recommend seeking advice to ensure you are fully informed.
-
-
Cancellation Policy Variations
-
Please note that the cancellation policy may vary depending on the surgeon or practitioner performing the procedure. Any surgeon-specific cancellation terms will be communicated to you during the consultation and booking process.
